Big6 Step
3: Location and Access
In this step, you will locate both the resources and the information within the resources.
- The
group must locate and gather all the resources.
- TIP-- You can do this together as a group, or divide the job between group members, giving each member the responsibility of getting one or more of the resources.
- This
step also involves being able to locate the information needed in a
resource.
- TIP--Your teacher or
librarian can teach you how
to do a subject search on the internet. Try the kid-friendly search
engines in the helpful
research
links.

you how to use the table of contents and index in a nonfiction book.
